Wedding Ceremony (Church / Civil ceremony)

Usually Sharon will play a mixture of music (Irish traditional music, light classical music and some popular music) with a calm feel before the church or civil ceremony to create a relaxing and inviting atmosphere.

Sharon will arrive approximately 40 minutes before the ceremony to set-up and play as your guests arrive. This includes playing music during:

• The entrance of the bride
• During the signing of the register
• As the wedding party and guests leave
Sharon is also available for a free consultation where you can discuss and choose the best repertoire for your special day.

Drinks reception
This includes a selection of music to greet the guests as they arrive from the ceremony and while the bride and groom have their photographs taken. (Sharon can even play outside, weather permitting of course)

Wedding meal
Sharon will play a selection of music from the moment the guests come in to dine, up to coffee or speeches.

Ceremony and drinks reception
Sharon’s fee is based on a two hour minimum charge and includes a free consultation to discuss music for the event if required. There may be an additional charge to cover travelling expenses to and from venues.

What happens at a consultation?
This is your chance to choose your music and takes place around two months before the ceremony (or as soon as possible for short-notice bookings).

There is some beautiful music written specifically for the harp and Sharon can make suggestions to reflect your taste. Sharon is always happy to try to accommodate unusual requests; if you want a particular piece that isn't currently part of her repertoire, you'll be asked to supply the sheet music or provide a recording. There will be an additional charge for learning and practice time of the new piece of music.
